In the latest edition, the Michelin Guide awarded stars to a total of 13 restaurants in Vienna, 8 of them with one star, 4 with two stars and one with 3 stars.

Amador

Since 2019, Vienna has had a three-star restaurant for the first time, the "Amador" in Vienna Döbling bears the highest award of the Michelin Guide, also in 2020.

The German star chef with Spanish roots, Juan Amador, presents innovative cuisine with new creations in three, four or six courses.

The restaurant is located just outside of Vienna in a district that is better known for its wine taverns, in a winegrower's cellar ensemble. From the outside, the restaurant looks rather inconspicuous, but inside it is puristically elegant and nobly furnished. The furnishings harmonize with the cozy vaulted cellar, the guests can look into the kitchen, where the chef is personally at the stove.

The experienced sommelier Andreas Katona, who is not only familiar with the wine list but also with the dishes of the star chef, will be happy to advise you.

Mraz & Sohn

Mraz & Sohn has been a family business in the 20th district for almost 30 years. The area, which is characterized by kebab shops, discounters and canned beer, does not suggest a 2-star restaurant. Through the inconspicuous frosted glass door of a corner building, you enter a room decorated in off-white with drawings on the wall and transparent ball lights above the tables. The kitchen is open to the dining room.

Markus Mraz and his sons cook innovative Austrian cuisine, creatively designed, there is only one menu, but it has 15 different courses. The sommelier Simon Schubert serves the house's wine list, which consists of 1040 items.

Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.

Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant

The luxurious 5-star Hotel Palais Coburg, not far from the city park, offers an elegant setting for the Silvio Nickol Gourmet Restaurant. The rooms are stylishly and puristically furnished.

Silvio Nickol, who was awarded 4 toques by Gault-Millau, presents international, French-influenced cuisine at the highest level here, and his own creations balance contrasts perfectly.

The menus have up to 9 courses. The wine list has over 5,000 positions, and those who wish can also order from the Palais Coburg wine cellar. With 60,000 bottles, it is one of the best in the world.

Steirereck im Stadtpark

From the outside, the Steirereck is ultra-modern, large blocks of mirrored glass under the trees of the city park, inside, light-colored wood and rooms flooded with light ensure the elegance that is expected of fine dining.
Family-owned for generations, the dishes sound quite traditional, but head chef Heinz Reitbauer is known for his consistent, original and unusual reinterpretations of old recipes.

Herbs from all over the world are grown on the roof of the Steirereck. The cuisine is upscale, Austrian, classic Viennese dishes are skilfully modified and redefined at the highest level.

Konstantin Filippou

Unassuming from the outside, the interior of Konstantin Filippou's restaurant is as bold as it is plain and simple. The restaurant is characterized by the elegant, minimalistic interior and the view into the kitchen. The kitchen can be seen from almost every table.

There are two seasonal six-course menus that change regularly, no a la carte dining. In some of the Mediterranean dishes you can taste the Greek roots of Konstantin Fillipou. The food is creative and modern, uncomplicated cuisine innovatively prepared. Selected wine recommendations will be served.

Apron

Located in the immediate vicinity of the Academy Theater and the concert hall, the chic canopy of the apron already gives an idea of the interior, where parquet flooring, marble, brass, velvet and spherical lights create a special flair. The atmosphere is relaxed. In March 2020, the Apron received its first Michelin star.

Chef Stefan Speıser relies on regional ingredients and unusual preparation methods. Rarities are cleverly combined with seasonal specialties, Austrian cuisine is reinterpreted and prepared at the highest level.

Located on the seventh floor of Vienna's Grand Hotel, the restaurant's interior is as appropriate to the location as it is to its name. Le Ciel means "in heaven" in German and that's how the guests feel in the opulently baroque furnished rooms.

In summer you can dine on the roof terrace, the atmosphere here is also classically elegant.
Head chef Toni Mörwald presents innovative and creative gourmet cuisine at the highest level. The wine recommendations of the sommelier Dietmar Baumgartner are excellent.

Edvard

In the immediate vicinity of St. Stephen's Cathedralis Palais Hansen Kempinski and there in turn you will find the gourmet restaurant Edvard.The atmosphere is relaxed and characterized by sporty elegance.
Chef Thomas Pedevilla reinterprets dishes with a touch of the Alps and the Mediterranean, drawing inspiration from both exotic markets and simple street food.

At Edvard they call it Fresh Cuisine. There are five, seven or nine course menus. Sommelier and restaurant manager Wolfgang Singer recommends the right wines.

Shiki

The only Japanese restaurant in Vienna that has a Michelin star does not serve Japanese cuisine in a typically puristically furnished restaurant, but in the context of fine dining that Europeans appreciate. The interior is elegantly decorated in dark tones and underlines the upscale atmosphere. SHIKI is located in the center of Vienna near the opera.

Contemporary and authentic Japanese cuisine with European influences is served. The dishes are sophisticated and emphasis is placed on seasonal cuisine, which is also reflected in the name of the restaurant. In German, SHIKI means, among other things, "The four seasons". The restaurant in the 6th district of Vienna is minimalistic, unconventional and sophisticated at the same time. The open kitchen is the focal point. The atmosphere is relaxing. Owner and chef Fabian Günzel presents international, modern, creative cuisine in his extra-reduced noble restaurant.

There is a menu with many courses and few ingredients, 2 main components of a course harmonize perfectly, strong, reduced dishes are the result. The wine accompaniment by sommelier Simon Schubert is grandiose and pure avant-garde.
