Defeating Parvos Granum's forces will award Volatile Motes, which may be exchanged for Warframe Arcanes, exclusive cosmetics, and past event weapons like the Basmu. This guide will cover everything you need to know about this event, including how the Ascension mode works, how to play missions as the Stalker, and all the rewards you can earn.
What Is Operation: Belly Of The Beast?
Operation: Belly of the Beast is a community event that runs from June 19 to July 11. Parvos Granum is harvesting motes of energy from Jade to create Jade Eximus units, Corpus engineers that unleash green pillars of energy that deal immense damage. It's up to you and the Stalker to bring an end to Parvos' plans.
This event is a variant of the Ascension game mode that exclusively spawns Jade Eximus units. To help even the odds, you can play as the Stalker and assist squads with this mission. A successful clear will net you Volatile Motes, an event currency used to purchase rewards from Ordis in the Larunda Relay orbiting Mercury. You'll also earn standard Ascension rewards during this event, such as Jade parts and Vestigial Motes.
How To Participate
You must complete the "Jade Shadows" quest to gain access to the Ascension game type.
Belly of the Beast is a variant of the Ascension mode on Brutus, Uranus. For the duration of this event, Brutus will have an event variant you can select when starting the mission. Select "Operation: Belly of the Beast" to get started.
The Ascension game mode isn't the only way you can participate. Event alerts will periodically show up on the Star Chart. If you're pressed for time or don't like Ascension, you can complete these alerts to gain Volatile Motes. An event alert appears every half hour and lasts for 90 minutes. Each event you complete awards ten Volatile Motes.
How To Play As The Stalker
You will need to speak with Ordis in the Larunda Relay on Mercury. You can fast travel directly to them once you enter the relay. Select the "A Shared Purpose?" option to queue into an Ascension mission as the Stalker. You don't have any options for customizing your loadout, but if you've used the Stalker in Duviri, you should be familiar with his kit.
Permadeath
The Stalker only has one life in Ascension. If you die, you cannot be revived and lose any earned rewards. Play cautiously.
The Stalker has access to Marked for Death, Ash's third ability with its augment, Ash's second ability, and Nyx's fourth ability. He also gets to use Dread, Despair, and Hate with fairly strong mod configurations but no Incarnon Adapters.
You serve as an ally to the Tenno, not an enemy. Kill any Corpus that stand in your way, and keep the elevator charged while escorting Jade's motes out of the facility. You'll receive the same rewards as the main squad when the mission ends.
Ascension Mission Walkthrough
Each Ascension mission will start with a brief defense objective. Keep the Corpus away from the terminal for 90 seconds, then head to the elevator shaft in the adjacent room. This is when the real mission begins. Your goal is to keep the elevator charged by throwing canisters at the defense pod. These pods can be found on upper floors and occasionally drop from slain Eximus targets.
A meter on the left of your HUD will showcase your current height and how charged the elevator currently is. Throwing a canister at the pod will increase its charge by +20. This cannot exceed 50, so be sure you're only throwing canisters when the elevator charge is at 30 or less. Scour the upper floors for canisters and keep the elevator charged.
There are two canister types: glowing and non-glowing. Glowing canisters also speed up how quickly the elevator ascends for the next 12 seconds. Both variants give the same +20 energy.
During the elevator section, you might come across a Sister Beacon. These emit a blue glow and an audible beeping noise. Picking one up will alert the Sisterhood to your location. If you pick up three beacons, a Sister of Parvos will spawn on the top floor. Killing it will award additional Vestigial Motes (the currency used for Ascension offerings) and a random Arcane. If you have the firepower, this is always worth doing.
Once the elevator has reached the top floor, it's time to fight your way out of the facility. Kill the army of Eximus units as you escort the pod outside towards extraction. The mission will end once the pod is secure, awarding you with Vestigial and Volatile Motes.

Earning Volatile Motes
Volatile Motes have three drop sources:
- The operation variant of Ascension.
- Event alerts on the Star Chart.
- Sisters slain in Ascension (operation variant only).
Every clear of Belly of the Beast awards 4-6 Volatile Motes, increased to 8-10 on Steel Path. The amount you get is random. Additional motes can be obtained by slaying the optional Sister of Parvos boss at the top of the elevator, who will drop an additional 1-2 Volatile Motes (doubled on Steel Path).
Additionally, throughout the duration of this event, Operation Alerts will appear on the Star Chart. These are standard alerts that award an extra 10 Volatile Motes on completion (15 on Steel Path). This is a great way to earn some extra Motes if you want to take a break from farming Ascension.
Event Rewards
Vestigial and Volatile Motes may be traded at Ordis in the Larunda Relay on Mercury to purchase rewards. Vestigial Motes are used to buy Ascension activity rewards, notably Jade components and her signature weapons. Volatile Motes are used for Operation: Belly of the Beast goods.
Ordis offers access to unique event cosmetics, the Basmu, Ceti Lacera, and most Warframe Arcanes found on the Plains of Eidolon. Unlike past events, you may only purchase 42 copies of a specific Arcane. That's enough to create two max-rank copies, one to keep and another to trade. All event rewards may be found below.
Legendary Arcanes may only be purchased if you're part of a clan.
