Tuck Away Beef Loaf Recipe from Betty Crocker Recipe Library

Instructions On Recipe Card
Heat oven to 350°.

STEP 1 Beat slightly with fork in large bowl 1 egg
STEP 2 Finely chop enough onion to fill 1/4 cup

Add to the egg and mix well
STEP 3
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup dry bread crumbs
1 1/4 cups milk
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon catsup
1 tablespoon horseradish

STEP 4 Spread half the meat mixture in ungreased loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches.

STEP 5 Put on meat mixture 3 peeled hard-cooked eggs

STEP 6 Cover with remaining meat mixture. Pat top of loaf to make smooth. Bake uncovered 1 1/2 hours. 6 servings

Tuck Away Baby Beefies: Shape each mixture into 8 small loaves, each about 3x2x1 inch. Push large pimient-stuffed olives into centers of loaves. Place loaves in ungreased baking pan, 13x9x2 inches. Bake uncovered 45 minutes. 6 to 8 servings.

McCallum Vintage Recipes Divas Stuffed Meatloaf with Portabella Mushrooms and Swiss Cheese adaption 2013

Instructions for 2013 Recipe

Heat oven to 350°.

STEP 1 Beat slightly with fork in large bowl 1 egg
STEP 2 Finely chop enough onion to fill 1/4 cup
STEP 3 Add to the egg and mix all ingredients listed below
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef 93/7%
1/2 pounds Italian sausage
1/2 cup dry Panko bread crumbs
1 teaspoon dry Steak Seasoning
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 tablespoons A-1 Sauce

SAVE FOR LATER
14 Slices good quality Swiss Cheese
6-7 medium Baby Bella Mushrooms sliced ( save 6-8 slices for decoration)
1/2 cup Rotel Diced tomatoes

STEP 4 Spread half the meat mixture in un greased loaf pan, 9x5x3 inches.
STEP 5 Put on meat mixture sliced Swiss cheese to taste ( we used at least 5 slices on that layer)
STEP 6 Add Sliced baby Bella evenly on top of Swiss cheese
STEP 7 Put on top of portabella mushrooms, sliced Swiss cheese to taste ( we used at least 5 slices on that layer)
STEP 8 Cover with remaining meat mixture. Pat top of loaf to make smooth.
STEP 9 Spoon Rotel tomatoes on top of meatloaf
STEP 10 Bake uncovered 40 min uncovered
STEP 11 Remove from oven, set on heat proof area.
STEP 12 Use last 4 slices of Swiss cheese, in a diamond pattern on meatloaf, top with mushroom slices.
STEP 113 Bake another 10 min, till cheese melts.

Vintage style 3 Layer JELL-O Mold Ring withPineapple

A colorful 3 layer JELL-O mold that will be sure to catch anyone’s attention.

Items required

  • 1 Box Jolly Rancher Water Melon gelatin
  • 1 box Jolly Rancher Raspberry gelatin
  • 1 box Jolly Rancher Green Apple gelatin
  • 3 cups pineapple juice (divided by 3)
  • 3 tablespoons sugar (divided by 3)
  • 3/4 cups sour cream (divided by 3)
  • 1 can pineapple chunks drained
  • 1 Vintage/ Retro JELL-O mold (Ring)

Simple Instructions

STEP 1 In a small sauce pan boil 1 cup of your pineapple juice, add package of “Watermelon” flavored gelatin to boiling juice, stir till dissolved, turn heat off. Cool 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup sour cream & 1 tablespoon of sugar. Place mixture in JELL-O mold. Take JELL-O mold and place in freezer about 30 min.

STEP 2 Remove JELL-O mold from freezer and …In a small sauce pan boil 1 cup of your pineapple juice, add package of “Green Apple” flavored gelatin to boiling juice, stir till dissolved, turn heat off. Cool 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup sour cream & 1 tablespoon of sugar. Place next layer in JELL-O mold. Take JELL-O mold and place in freezer about 30 min.

STEP 3 Remove JELL-O mold from freezer and …In a small sauce pan boil 1 cup of your pineapple juice, add package of “Raspberry” flavored gelatin to boiling juice, stir till dissolved, turn heat off. Cool 5 minutes. Add 1/4 cup sour cream & 1 tablespoon of sugar. Place next layer in JELL-O mold. Take JELL-O mold and place in refrigerator 4 hours or more.

STEP 4 Fill sink about 1/3 of the way with HOT water, remove mold from refrigerator , place in water DO NOT GET WATER ON INSIDE Count to 5 remove mold from sink. Place on serving platter of choice. Refrigerate 30 minutes.

STEP 5 Add drained Pineapple to center of mold.

STEP 6 ENJOY!

Ingredients

  • 3 large green peppers, cut in half lengthwise
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed oregano
  • 1 cup bread stuffing croutons
  • 16 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Remove seeds from peppers and cook in boiling salted water 5 minutes; drain. Cook ground beef, garlic and onion in a skillet until onion is tender. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, pepper, oregano, croutons and 1 cup tomato sauce; heat through. Lightly stuff pepper halves with meat mixture. Spoon balance of sauce over meat and bake 20 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake 10 minutes longer, until cheese is melted.

Serves: 6

Stuffed Peppers with Cheese 2013

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Small onion minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasonings
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup Panko bread
  • 16 ounce can tomato sauce
  • 4 slices of Mozzarella or Swiss Cheese

Directions
